We had snow!

Jackson has been alive for almost 4.5 years and the entire time his little eyes have never seen snow. Last week, for some reason, we actually had snow twice in 1 week. Wednesday we had a have "flurry" of now leaving about 1 inch of the white fluffy stuff on the ground only to be melted after the kids went to bed by rain. Luckly, the kids were able to go out and play for a little while while it was coming down but were totally distraught when they awoke to find nothing more than wet grass and cement.

Then on Saturday we got more snow! It started snowing around 11:30am ( I know this because my dear, loving husband woke me up after only 4 hours of sleep after a 12 hour night at work to tell me it was snowing) and it continued until around 7pm. While the ground was a little warm still, about 2 inches stuck. Finally Jackson was able to make a real snow angel and a snowman. We had a blast running and playing in the snow. It was great snow too, perfect for making snow balls!

Just don't mind the mean little sister that runs through the snow angel without a moment's hesitation.

Happy New Year!

8 days into 2008 and it feels like spring has hit in Georgia! The weather was beautiful here today. I had some nice music on while I was making dinner, I could hear the kids running out side and squealing as they tossed leaves and random sports balls at each other. There was a warm breeze running through the house and I just felt like a mom. Does that make sense? I know it sounds funny, and it may have been the 2 glasses of 2 Buck Chuck I had already drank or Taylor Swift singing about love and being happy. I kept peeking out the window to see my babies running around acting like kids should act with no cares or worries. Well, Jackson was a little worried about the ladybug her found and if she was in the right "home."

So many kids right now, this very minute are worrying about their moms being abused, or if they are going to have any food for dinner tonight. I feel so fortunate to have made the right decisions in my life so that my kids can live the carefree life they deserve.
